Kadyrov: Russia is Interested in Peace in Georgia

Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic and former member of the Chechen independence movement, commented on recent developments in Tbilisi.

According to him, he is "very worried" about the current situation. He also noted that the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, is "very wrong" while talking about Russia and Russia is "most of all interested in peace in Georgia".

"I would like to remind you that Tbilisi is 200 kilometers from Grozny. Almost a million Georgians live in Russia. Our people have centuries of friendship and unity," Kadyrov said.

The Chechen leader is convinced that Georgian politicians' radical position against Russia is directed by the West.
