Visit Georgia - Mezzo-soprano Ketevan Kemoklidze Joins the Campaign
Prominent Georgian Mezzo-soprano Ketevan Kemoklidze has joined the campaign #spendyoursummeringeorgia.
At her request, after the successful performance of “Carmen” at the opera house Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi, the creative group made a video address directly from the stage and advised the travelers worldwide to visit Georgia.
The relevant video has been published on Facebook by the Embassy of Georgia to Italy. The embassy notes that Maestro Oleg Caetani is heading the video address.
The campaign #spendyoursummeringeorgia started after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s travel embargo, namely, the decision to ban Russian airlines from flying to Georgia and vice versa. In response to the tourist embargo, citizens and well-known individuals began to invite foreign tourists to Georgia, to save the country’s economy.
Georgian Mezzo-soprano Ketevan Kemoklidze is in high demand by major theaters of the world for her extraordinary vocal and stage skills. She received a Master degree at the V. Sarajishvili State Conservatoire. Having been awarded Special Prize of Teatro alla Scala at H.G. Belvedere competition she was admitted in the Academy of Teatro alla Scala without an entrance exam. She is a winner of prestigious international voice competitions including the P. Domingo’s Operalia, the Concourse International de Chant de la Ville de Toulouse, the F. Viñas Competition of Barcelona, the H.G. Belvedere International Competition in Vienna, the E. Obraztsova International Vocal Competition in Saint-Petersburg and the Georgian Musicians National and Youth Competitions.
