Parliament Chairman to Visit US

The Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Archil Talakvadze, together with a delegation, will visit the United States on July 15-20.

Within the frames of the visit, the Chairman of the Parliament will participate in the Democratic Partnership Leadership Forum of the US Congress.

Talakvadze will address the participants of the Forum and highlight the role of MPs in the struggle for democracy.

He will meet with David Price, the House Democracy Partnership Chairman, Congressmen and Senate members, Acting Assistant Secretary of State Philip Reeker, Atlantic Council Executive Vice President Damon Wilson, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green, and experts.

The First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia Tamar Chugoshvili and Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament Sergi Kapanadze are among those in the delegation.

Within the framework of the visit, Chugoshvili and Kapanadze will participate in the Democratic Partnership Leadership Forum of the US Congress and hold bilateral meetings.
