Eko & Vinda Folio to Tour France

Erekle Deisadze and Temo Ezugbaia, better known as Eko & Vinda Folio, will tour France later in 2019. Within the frames of the artists’ tour, they will perform in Paris, Lyon, Touquin, and Nantes. Paris will host the duo on December 1, 2019.

In 2016, Deisadze and Ezugbaia recorded a single titled “You Shine” (შენ ანათებ < Shen Anateb > in Georgian). Reportedly, soon after listening to the single a French record label signed a contract with Eko & Vinda Folio.

Talitres, formerly known as Talitres Records, is a French independent record label based in Bordeaux, founded in 2000 and specializing in indie pop and folk music. It is exactly this famous French label Talitres that releases the duo’s album “Therapy” in September. “Therapy” comprises of 10 songs that Eko & Vinda Folio have been working on past three years; all the compositions have Georgian lyrics.

The artists say that authenticity is their signature, “it’s natural and organic for us to sing in Georgian. So we only have Georgian lyrics. As the French has reported themselves, our exotic sound attracted them,” commented Vinda Folio.

"Therapy" is the debut album from Georgian duo Eko & Vinda Folio. It delivers an enchanting romanticism, a secret place where each one of us can draw dreams. The two musicians define here the contours of a poetic and singular universe punctuated by enigmatic lyrics (all the more for us).

For this chant is a journey in itself. On some tracks, Erekle Deisadze’s deep voice (quite sepulchral sometimes) makes way for Vinda Folio’s. The Georgian language, holding the round intonations of its letters, creeps in into us, slowly and lastingly. This music, gracefully oscillating between cold wave, dream pop and dancing rhythms (of a dark and cold dance, but so much addictive), borrows influences from British post-punk and sticks to the musicians’ everyday life,“  writes the French independent record label Talitres about Eko & Vinda Folio’s album, that is scheduled for release on September 20.
