IPRM Meeting to Be Held in Ergneti Today

An Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) technical meeting is set to take place between the representatives of the Georgian side and occupation forces today at 14:00 in the village of Ergneti, Gori Municipality.

It has been reported that the issue of lifting the blockade in the village of Chorchana will not be discussed within the scope of the meeting, as according to the Georgian side, it is located on Georgian controlled territory and its possible removal has no reason to be on the agenda.

At the last meeting, the parties agreed not to make such steps that would contribute to the escalation of tensions. The so-called ‘borderization’ issue taking place in Gugutiantkari was also strongly accentuated at the IPRM meeting.
