Gharibashvili to become Defense Minister, Gomelauri – Interior Minister

Vakhtang Gomelauri, the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, will be appointed Minister of Internal Affairs, while Irakli Gharibashvili, who served as the Internal Affairs Minister in 2012-2013 and as the Prime Minister in 2013-2015, will become the new Minister of Defense. 

The announcement was made at the Ruling Party Georgian Dream office a few minutes ago.

The Georgian Dream team also nominated Giorgi Gakharia for the post of Prime Minister.

Yesterday, the former Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze resigned. He made the statement about his resignation through the social network.
