Protests against Gakharia to Continue into the Night

Hundreds of people gathered in front of the Parliament at 7pm today for the 76th day of protest against Giorgi Gakharia.

They stand against the appointment of the former Minister of Interior Affairs, Giorgi Gakharia as Prime Minister. The decision was announced by Bidzina Ivanishvili earlier today.

Protestors have been asking for the resignation of Gakharia since June 20, after the police shot rubber bullets and tear gas into the crowd, injuring around 200 people and 30 journalists.

Changes in the government are to be approved by Parliament in the coming days.
