Gharibashvili on Promotion of Military Service

At the joint sitting of the parliamentary committees held earlier today, Irakli Gharibashvili, the candidate for the position of the Minister of Defense of Georgia, made a statement on the need to  promote military service.

Gharibashvili said that it is of vital importance to start education in this direction from a young age.

“I believe the army should be one of the major bases of our strength,” said Gharibashivili, adding that the concept of military service should be promoted countrywide through educational establishments, including kindergartens and schools. He also noted that the relevant textbooks have already been designed.
