PM: The 2020 Budget is Focused on Citizens’ Needs

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, assessed the draft budget 2020 at the extraordinary sitting of Parliament today, where the budget is being discussed. He emphasized that the 2020 budget is “socially responsible and focused on citizens’ needs and economic development.”

“We are working on the country's 2020 budget. We will have the final discussion today, after which we will submit the budget to the Georgian Parliament. Our entire team has worked on the draft budget. It outlines the key priorities of our political team. In addition, the development of our country in 2020 will depend on the effective fulfillment of this budget. The 2020 budget is socially responsible and aimed at economic development. It creates more opportunities for our citizens, so we believe it is based on the needs of our citizens. Most importantly, it considers the interests of the most important group of society, the group on which the future of our country depends - children. Of course, we have an obligation to care for our honored older people as well. In addition, this budget also focuses on teachers, doctors, law enforcers, and soldiers," he said.
