Georgia to Co-Host Defender Europe Training in 2020

Georgia is on the list of ten European countries alongside Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland, which are to host yet another large-scale training of NATO named Defender Europe, in 2020.

The US media reports that the training is set to kick off in spring next year, seeing eighteen countries, as well as 20,000 US soldiers and 8,000 European troops, as participants. This is the largest US deployment across the Atlantic for training in the past 25 years.

Through the Defender Europe training, NATO aims to increase military readiness and deter potential adversaries.
