ArtDoll Festival Tbilisi

Tbilisi’s Museum of Modern Art will host the third International Festival of Author’s Dolls ArtDollTbilisi 2019. The international annual festival will take place in Georgia’s capital on November 2-4.

The most outstanding works from the best masters of this art trend will be showcased to the guests of the festival. Tbilisi ArtDoll Festival features 26 renowned artists from Estonia, the Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Turkey, the Netherlands and Germany.

The festival will open on 2 November at 2:00 PM, at the Museum of Modern Art.
For the first time in Georgia, within the framework of the festival, an international copyright puppet competition, "World of Chanel" will be held. The three favorite works will be awarded during the ceremony.

The author’s doll is very popular worldwide. Works of masters are kept in the wealthiest private collections, museums and galleries. Materials for making the author’s dolls vary from a simple papier-mâché to refined porcelain and it is the diversity of styles, images and technique of execution that made the Society of Doll Masters of Georgia “GeoDoll”, organizer of this year’s Festival, decide to show the creations to the population of our city.
