President of Azerbaijan Visits Georgia

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Alyiev, is set to arrive to Georgia on an official two-day visit.

According to the Presidential Administration of Georgia, face-to-face and an expanded format meeting, including the signing of a declaration on deepening the bilateral cooperation between countries, are planned. “The declaration will cover Political, Security, Trade and Economical, Transit, Cultural, Educational and Scientific issues.” 

The Presidential Administration says the President of Georgia and the President of Azerbaijan will make joint statements later today.

The President of Azerbaijan will meet with the Georgian Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, with the Catholicos Patriarch Ilia II as well.

Alyiev is also said to meet with Azerbaijani minorities in Marneuli, and to visit a refrigeration business.
