'The How of Policy Reform' Workshop in Tbilisi, November 4-8
Stanford University’s Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law (CDDRL) and the Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC), in partnership with Free University of Tbilisi, are opening the application intake for the workshop of Leadership Academy for Development (LAD) entitled “The How of Policy Reform”, which is set to take place in the Georgian capital on November 4-8 and be led by the world-renown Professor of Stanford University Francis Fukuyama, together with Professors Mary Hilderbrand from Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University and Kent Weaver from Georgetown University.
The five-day workshop will bring together 30 selected applicants from Georgia, as well as other countries and train them on how to be “effective reform leaders, promoting sound public policies in complex and contentious settings.”
The Leadership Academy for Development (LAD), an executive-level training program, aimed at training of the mid-level government officials and business sector leaders from developing countries, has been successfully operating in Georgia since 2016. The workshops of the LAD program are outstanding for being based on various case studies, encouraging the participants to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
