Georgian Vice PM Meets with EU’s EaP Commissioner
Vice Prime Minister of Georgia Maia Tskitishvili met with Johannes Hahn, the European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations and considered a new initiative to focus and pinpoint Georgian regions and carry out new projects based on their requirements.
The sides also reviewed EU-Georgian relations, ongoing reforms in Georgia, including the education sector, and the overall political situation.
Hahn noted the successful Georgian development in many areas, involving relations with the EU and the huge progress the country has made in recent years.
At the meeting, European aid was also mentioned, thanks to which many ventures have been carried out in Georgia.
The sides also discussed the future steps to take in the course of European integration.
The conference was held in the context of the EBRD Eastern Partnership (EaP) Investment Summit taking place in the headquarters of the EBRD, in London, England.
