President Dines at the Bean House while Civilians Protest Outside
While the demonstrators are still protesting on Rustaveli Avenue with unchanged demands, the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, is dining in the Bean House ‘Bia’ on Machabeli Street near the protest area.
First, the location of the President was found out by Mtavari Arkhi. As soon as the information came out, a number of protestors and representatives of the media moved to the doors of ‘Salobie Baia’, shouting ‘slave’ and ‘shame’.
When the press asked comments from President Zurabishvili, security were instructed to wait for her outside. The reporters have been at the entrance of the Bean House for half an hour now but President Zurabishvili has not come out of the dining place.
“We have come to ask the President what is she doing dining here when her people need her by their side,” exclaimed one of the protestors.
