Azerbaijan President Labels the Color Revolutions as Diseaseful and Infectious

The Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev spoke about how his country stopped the ‘plague and disease’ of revolutions in the region. He also stressed that these revolutions, such as the Rose Revolution of Georgia and Orange Revolution of Ukraine brought only problems for these countries.

“the year 2005. The next place for this series of revolutions should’ve been Azerbaijan. There were already printed t-shirts with the inscription: ‘Georgia, Ukraine, Kirgizstan, Azerbaijan’. This means we would’ve been the fourth country, and other countries would’ve followed us. But we stopped this plague, this disease, this infection. Now the whole world sees that these revolutions only brought problems for these nations, and they were left alone to face these challenges. Disruption never pacifies in these countries, because the ‘poisonous seed’ of revolution has been planted. The poison has proved so damaging that even still today the effects can be seen. This didn’t happen in Azerbaijan, why? Because the people didn’t want it. The people said, ‘enough’!” – States Aliyev.           

According to the acting president, Azerbaijan has to oversee the ideological direction and work. Mr. Alliev sees problems in this direction.

“Those who don’t like us, especially those who represent and fund the Armenian lobby, are using these errors especially now when we have free internet. More than 80% are using the internet actively in Azerbaijan. In Azerbaijan we have a free and democratic society and free media. They want to brainwash the minds of our youth. We won’t let that happen.” Stressed the President.
