Georgia's Nominee for the EU Human Rights in Film Award: 'Twelve Lessons'
MAC (McLain Association for Children) Georgia has announced that its new film, Twelve Lessons has been nominated for the EU Human Rights in Film Award at this year's Tbilisi International Film Festival. Directed by Giorgi Mrevlishvili, and produced with the support of the Georgian National Film Center, Twelve Lessons has been entered into the Georgian Panorama competition.
Filmed in Guria, Georgia, Twelve Lessons follows the life of Valeri Kotrikadze as he seeks to prepare Vako, his autist grandson so that he can be an active and productive member of society.
Faced with tremendous challenges and the absence of services and local support, Valeri keeps on fighting, determined to teach Vako the lessons he needs in order to succeed.
This important beautifully directed movie will be shown within the frames of the Tbilisi International Film Festival on December 3 and 5.
