FemDoc Tbilisi - Documentary Film Day
FemDoc Tbilisi is a special event dedicated to female documentary filmmakers, organized by Chai Khana with the support of the British Embassy Tbilisi.
During the one-day event, happening on December 12, young documentary filmmakers will have an opportunity to pitch their ideas.
The event will be followed by a panel discussion. Georgian film directors, together with their UK colleagues, will lead the panel discussion session. The artists will speak about female storytellers working in front of the camera, or behind it, in the aftermath of conflict.

Sky Neal – The winner of One World Media Awards 2018 and many other awards, documentary filmmaker, UK
Naziha Arebi – BAFTA nominee, documentary filmmaker, UK, Libya
Salome Jashi – The winner of Visions du Réel’s Regard Neuf Competition and laureate of many other awards, documentary filmmaker, Georgia
Moderated by Anna Dziapshipa - Art historian, film producer and co-founder of film organization Sakdoc Film.
The event is open and free for anyone to attend. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions and be involved in the discussion. The panel discussion will be followed by the screenings of UK and Georgian movies. FemDoc will wrap up with an award ceremony for the best pitch.
