Another MP Leaves the Ruling Party

Aleksandre Erkvania, the member of the ruling Georgian Dream party, has left the parliamentary majority. Erkvania is the 14th MP to quit his position by reason of the joint disappointment following the rejection of the proportional electoral system on November 14.

“I have not consulted with neither Ivanishvili nor anyone else concerning my decision. My resignation was spurred by a myriad of causes including the issue of the electoral system”, says Erkvania.
