Parliament Approves 14 Judges of Supreme Court
The Parliament of Georgia approved 14 judges of the Supreme Court, including Prosecutor General Shalva Tadumadze (with 89 votes), deputy Prosecutor General Mamuka Vasadze (with 88 votes) and Secretary of the Supreme Council of Justice Giorgi Mikautadze (with 85 votes).
The lawmakers approved the following Supreme Court judges: Merab Gabinashvili - 86 votes, Miranda Eremadze - 83 votes, Mamuka Vasadze - 88 votes, Maia Vachadze - 90 votes, Tamar Zambakhidze - 89 votes, Shalva Tadumadze - 89 votes, Vladimir Kakabadze - 86 votes, Levan Mikaberidze - 89 votes, Giorgi Mikautadze - 85 votes, Nugzar Skhirtladze - 90 votes, Lali Papiashvili - 88 votes, Nino Kadagidze - 85 votes, Ketevan Tsintsadze - 85 votes, Alexandre Tsuladze - 87 votes.
The judges of the Supreme Court took an oath at the plenary session of Parliament. However, only five of them took the oath, as the remaining nine were already acting judges and had been sworn in.
