Court Orders GEL 2,000 Bail from Gigi Ugulava

The Tbilisi City Court has ordered GEL 2,000 bail for one of the leaders of European Georgia, Gigi Ugulava. 

One of the opposition leaders has 30 days to pay the bail. At the same time, Ugulava is expected to hand his ID and passport to the investigating agency.

The pre-trial hearing is scheduled for January 30, 2020.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported earlier that Gigi Ugulava and one of the participants of the physical confrontation at Tbilisi airport had been charged with violence, while Goka Gabashvili and another person involved in the incident were declared victims.

The incident took place yesterday morning. Members of the European Georgia Party claimed that two men assaulted Gigi Ugulava and Goka Gabashvili.
