New Awards for 'And Then We Danced'

Levan Akin’s Georgian-Swedish film has received many international awards since its release in the summer of 2019. Now the movie has added another four wins at the Swedish Film festival the Guldbagge Awards to its overall commercial success.

'And Then We Danced' won the Best Picture nomination, and Levan Gelbakhiani received the award for Best Actor at the 55th Gulbagge Awards. The Swedish-Georgian film was also the winner in the Cinematography and Screenplay categories.

Also known as the Swedish Academy Awards, the Gulbagge Awards first honored the achievements in the Swedish film industry in 1964.

And Then We Danced is a movie portraying gay love directed by Swedish-born Levan Akin who is of Georgian descent.
