Parliament Speaker Talakvadze to Visit US
The Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Archil Talakvadze, together with the Parliamentary Delegation, will pay a working visit to the United States on February 5-10.
Within the framework of the visit, the Speaker of Parliament will participate in the annual gathering organized by the US President, the National Prayer Breakfast.
The Parliament's press service reports that as part of the visit, Talakvadze will hold high-level meetings in the US Congress and Senate. Meetings will also be held with Acting Assistant Secretary of State Philip Reeker, Assistant Administrator for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Brock Bierman, Executive Director of Trammo Inc. Edward Weiner and experts.
The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, together with the accompanying delegation, will meet with the students of Buckswood International School and will also visit the Washington Heritage Academy.
The delegation consists of the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Kakha Kuchava, and the Chief of the Speaker's Cabinet of Parliament of Georgia, Nikoloz Samkharadze.
