Salome Zurabishvili: I Share the Emotion of the Ukrainian People

The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili took to her official Twitter account to respond to the recent developments in the region of Donbas, Ukraine.  

“The return of intense hostilities in Eastern Ukraine is a violation of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty. I am concerned by this step backward, deplore this tragic development and share the emotion of the Ukrainian people”, reads the tweet of the Georgian President.

The eruption of conflict between Ukraine and Russian-backed separatists killed one Ukrainian soldier and left several wounded. In a statement released on Tuesday, Ukraine's military said that the separatists attempted to advance into the Kyiv-controlled territory but were forced back.
