Club Colibri to Host the American House Icon Fred-P
Club “Colibri”, located in the Old Town Tbilisi, will be presenting the American icon of the house music, Fred Paterkin, also known as, Fred P, on February 21. The DJ from Queens, New York has unquestionably contributed to the development of house music in the USA. Fred P, who uses the alias Black Jazz Consortium, has participated in the rise and the popularization of electronic music in the United States, which has seen upheaval in the last decade.
Resident Advisor has summed up Fred-P’s 20-year career in one word – “deep”. The DJ’s house music and playing style is often termed as ‘journey music’ or ‘music to travel.’
The New Yorker DJ who now resides in Berlin has his own music label “Perpetual Sound”, eleven albums and countless LP releases.
Alongside Fred-P, Colibri will be hosting recognized local artists Nika J and 98dots.
