Israel Defense Forces Bomb Terrorist Strongholds in Syria and Gaza
The Israeli military says it bombed terror group’s facilities near Damascus, as well as in the Gaza Strip, in a retaliatory attack, after around 30 rockets were fired at southern Israel.
In an unorthodox attack, the Israel Defense Forces propelled a succession of reactive airstrikes on Palestinian Islamic Jihad locations in both Syria and the Gaza Strip. The reactionary assaults took place Sunday night, as the swarms of rockets hit Southern Israel that was launched by the Iran-backed terror group, the Isreali military implied.
“IDF fighter jets struck terror sites belonging to the PIJ terror group south of Damascus in Syria, as well as dozens of PIJ sites throughout the Gaza Strip,” the Israeli Defense Forces said in a statement.
The Jihadists said in an official report that the bombings killed two of its member militants. The group did not reveal the nationalities of their deceased soldiers nor their roles. The militant Jihadist group pledged to adequately react to the killings of its members.
“The IDF will respond aggressively to the terrorist activities of the Islamic Jihad, which endanger the citizens of Israel and harm its sovereignty,” the IDF stated.
