Vano Merabishvili to Leave for Poland Tomorrow

The former Interior Minister of Georgia Vano Merabishvili, who was recently released from custody, will leave for Poland tomorrow., a post on his Facebook page reads. 

“Merabishvili will participate in various events in the Republic of Poland at the invitation of the Sejm. After that, he plans to take an emergency treatment course.

"For almost 7 years of imprisonment, he was deliberately not provided with proper medical care. After the treatment, he will return to Georgia,” reads the statement.

The ex-interior minister left the so-called 'Matrosov Prison' after almost 7 years of imprisonment on February 20.
