Ukrainian Rada Appoints New Cabinet of Ministers

The unicameral parliament of Ukraine the Verkhovna Rada has approved a new arrangement of the Cabinet of Ministers, local agency Ukrinform reports.

The passing vote was a minimum of 226 votes; accordingly, 277 MPs supported the resolution in favor of the ministers selected by the newly appointed Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

The following ministers remain in office: Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, Justice Minister Denis Maliuska and Minister of Infrastructure Vladisval Kriklim. 

Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada appointed Denys Shmyhal as the new Prime inister after Oleksiy Honcharuk handed in his resignation letter on Wednesday.
