Tbilisi Wins LCD Berlin Award for Best Emerging Culture City

Georgia’s capital was named as Best Emerging Culture City at the 2020 Leading Culture Destinations (LCD) Berlin Awards ceremony, organized jointly by the Global culture-travel network LCD and VisitBerlin, the city’s official travel website.

The LCD Awards showcased 50 cultural destinations in 28 countries, with 18 of them gaining various awards.

The LCD Berlin Awards aims to shine a light on the most distinguished offerings of the world’s emerging leading culture destinations. For the awards, the most creative and innovative projects are identified and awarded to inspire a dynamic exchange and establish a global network between culture and travel.

Prep work for participation in the competition was carried out by the National Tourism Administration at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
