Bernard Kouchner to Visit Georgia

Former Foreign Minister of France, Bernard Kouchner, will make a two day visit to Georgia to discuss the development of the healthcare system.

Georgia's Minister of Health, Labor, and Social Affairs, Davit Sergeenko, announced, Kouchner has become the head of Georgia’s consultation board, as he is a doctor by background.

“Georgian people know him well, as he supported Georgia in 2008 as well as in General. But many people do not know he is a doctor and has implemented great projects in public healthcare,” Sergeenko said.

“Within the framework of his visit we will have the possibility to discuss the basic strategy of the health care system development. He will also hold a meeting with the medical society and students,” Sergeenko said.
