Elene Akhvlediani's Art on Display at Red Square Gallery

Works by the famous Georgian artist Elene Akhvlediani, will be on view at the Red Square gallery from November 24 onward.

The exhibition's opening reception will start 7pm.

Akhvlediani was a 20th century Georgian painter, graphic artist, theater decorator, anf book illustrator. She graduated from Tbilisi state Academy of Art and continued her studies in France.

She spent two years in Italy, Rome, and Milan and learnt Italian as well. The artist was well-known both inside Georgia as abroad.

Her art studio operated as a cultural center, where famous actors, painters, musicians and poets often gathered, and where the artist and her friends often organized personal exhibitions.

Currently, her studio functions as Akhvlediani’s Memorial House where people can enjoy poetry, music, and Georgian songs.
