Russian Doctor Tests Positive for COVID-19 after Shaking Hands with Putin
Denis Protsenko, the head of Moscow’s biggest coronavirus hospital, has tested positive for the coronavirus. This comes a week after he met and shook hands with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
The doctor revealed his test results on Tuesday via Facebook post, saying that he is isolated at his office and is feeling fine. The Russian leader is also reportedly feeling fine.
Putin is taking regular tests and there is no reason to worry about his health, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian news agencies.
In the last 24 hours, Russian authorities reported the biggest daily rise so far - 500 new cases which brought the total to 2,337 cases, most reported in Moscow. The country has 17 fatalities.
