Trump Signs a Decree to Suspend Immigration to the US

US President Donald Trump declared via tweeter that he will ‘temporarily suspend immigration into the United States.’

Lessening legal immigration to the United States has always been an administrative aim for Trump, even before the coronavirus pandemic. Currently, he is exploiting the existing COVID-19 calamity to validate adjourning legal immigration to the US.

“In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!” President Trump tweeted.

According to the latest data, the US has more than 780,000 confirmed cases and a death toll of 42,138. Likewise, unemployment in the US is at an all-time high with 22 million Americans seeking social security.
