Council of Europe Ministerial to be held in Athens Instead of Tbilisi
The conference of Ministers of the Council of Europe, which was due to take place first in Tbilisi then in Strasbourg, is now going to be held in Athens, under the Greek presidency, on November 4, 2020.
The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the news on the date and the location of the 130th convention of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
"At the April 22 meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, which was held in the format of a video conference for the first time, a decision was made to change the place and date of the 130th meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The meeting, which was to be held under Georgia’s presidency on May 15, 2020 in Strasbourg, will be held on November 4, 2020, in Athens, under the Chairmanship of Greece," the Georgian Foreign Ministry announced.
