Boris Johnson Back in Downing Street
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has returned to his Downing Street residence after recovering from coronavirus, Reuters reports. The PM is ready to work in full swing as pressure grows from Parliament to clarify how it will relieve the severe coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
Johnson, at 55 years of age, spent three nights in intensive care with the illness, later being transferred to Chequers country residence to continue his recovery.
UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab commented on the speculation about offsetting the message that people should stay at home.
“We are at a delicate and dangerous stage and we need to make sure that the next steps are sure-footed,” Raab told Sky News.
The death toll associated with coronavirus in UK hospitals rose to 20,732, up 413 in 24 hours, while confirmed cases hit 152,840, up by 4,463.
