Russian Prime Minister Mishustin Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that he has tested positive for the new coronavirus, making the comments in a televised video conversation with President Vladimir Putin.

He said he will be going to the hospital later Thursday.

Mishustin, who was appointed in January, is the highest-ranking Russian official to be diagnosed with the virus. 

Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov will temporarily take over the post of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Russia during his absence.
