Zelensky: Saakashvili created modern customs service and defeated corruption in Georgia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on Mikheil Saakashvili's achievements and pointed out that he managed to create a modern customs service and ultimately defeated corruption during his presidency in Georgia. While speaking about the former president of Georgia, Zelensky also noted that Saakashvili has strong ties with foreign investors.

"During his presidency in Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili really created a modern customs service and defeated corruption. On the other hand, he has strong links with investors. We have discussed the pension reform and it is time to implement it in Ukraine," he said.

Ex-President of Georgia and former Governor of Odessa, Saakashvili has been assigned the post of Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Reform Council of Ukraine.
