PM: Georgia’s CoE Chairmanship Received Very High Assessment at Int'l Level
"Today, Georgia has concluded its chairmanship of the Council of Europe. Despite the global pandemic, these six months have been very successful," stated Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.
The head of the government noted that the Georgian chairmanship received a very high assessment at the international level.
The prime minister thanked European partners for successful cooperation. He also thanked the Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani for his effective work.
"These six months have been very successful, despite the global pandemic. The Georgian chairmanship received a very high assessment at the international level. I would like to thank every one of our European partners for productive cooperation. I would also like to thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the minister himself for their productive and effective work," Gakharia stated.
Georgia's 6-month presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe has ended.
The Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe was officially transferred from Georgia to Greece today at the meeting of the CoE Committee of Ministers in Strasbourg.
