Georgia Reports 26 New Coronavirus Cases, 18 of Which are from Bolnisi

26 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 783. 

5 more recoveries have been recorded, which brings the total number of recovered patients to 605.

“We have 26 new confirmed cases and now the confirmed cases stands at 783. We have 5 new recoveries and the number of recovered patients has risen to 605. Despite the new spike in the coronavirus cases, 77% of COVID-19 patients have recovered,” said Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital. 

18 out of 26 newly infected patients are from Bolnisi municipality, 4 from a quarantine space and 4 people have been in contact with infected persons. 

2494 people are under a 14-day mandatory quarantine and 301 - under observation in hospitals.

Currently, there are 166 active cases in Georgia.
