Malkhaz Machalikashvili: After Many Requests, I Decided to Become MP

"After many requests, I decided to become a member of parliament," states Malkhaz Machalikashvili,  a father of Temirlan Machalikashvili, a 19-year-old youth killed during the special operation in Pankisi Gorge in December 2017.

He made the corresponding statement in the TV program 'Policy Formula' and explained that he does it "For the sake of all the people who have been oppressed by the ugly system."

"At the request of too many people, I thought I should be in Parliament. Today I see how even the parliament and all government bodies treat me. Because of this, I decided to become majoritarian to achieve justice in this way. I do this not only for my sake but also for the people who have been unfairly oppressed by the ugly system. I am referring to the ugly court, the ugly prosecutor's office, and the ugly parliament.

"Some people say that I have nothing to do in parliament. However, if we consider who is in the parliament today, Machalikashvili may be appointed even to the US Senate, too,” he noted.
