Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater Reopens

The Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater has reopened after six years of being closed for renovations.

The first renewed performance was held on November 28th, 2015.

The ballet group presented the work of famous ballet choreographer Jiri Kylian. Among the performances, the well known Sarabanda was presented as well, but the premiere will be held after the official opening, which is planned for 2016.

Georgian film opera, Abesalom da Eteri, will also be shown at the official ceremony by the Georgian producer, Gizo Jorandia.

The Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater closed six years ago in order to rehabilitate the whole building.
