Mdinaradze: Involvement in Aggressive Rhetoric has Never Served Georgian Interests

The head of Chechnya and a notorious marionette of Putin, Ramzan Kadyrov, has called the recent allegations against him that he ordered an attack on a Georgian journalist ‘foolish’. According to Kadyrov, if the errand is that the order must be executed silently, “no one will ever know anything about it, especially in the deep stillness of your country."

Mamuka Mdinaradze, the leader of the parliamentary majority, commented about the statement made by the Chechen leader and dubbed it as ‘aggressive rhetoric’.

"We are cooperating intensively with our international partners with regard to similar issues. We provide them with information and ask to respond. This aggressive rhetoric, often coming from the high-ranking Russian official, is aimed at harming Georgia's interests, but in general, aggressive rhetoric has never served Georgian interests, and we have often seen its consequences against the Georgian state. So, if someone's goal is to get us involved in this aggressive policy, we will not do that. We will act in the interests of the Georgian state. Therefore, we will work with our international partners on the threats and this aggressive rhetoric, and we are not going to follow the opposition's narrative and start useless aggressive rhetoric," Mdinaradze said.
