Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has presented a new State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality. He stated that the position will be held by Tea Akhvlediani who used to be the Deputy Minister of Healthcare, replacing Ketevan Tsikhelashvili in the role.

The head of the government congratulated the new minister on the assignment.

"Ms. Tea used to work at the Ministry of Healthcare as a Deputy Minister.  She has great experience in representing our diplomatic team," Gakharia noted.

The former minister Tsikhelashvili will continue her work in the diplomatic service.

"I am confident that her qualifications, knowledge, and experience will help to deepen our diplomatic achievements and take us to Europe," the PM said.

Ketevan Tsikhelashvili was appointed as the Minister of State for Reconciliation and Civic Equality in August of 2016.
