Executives on Importance of Noble Partner for Georgia's Euro-Atlantic Integration
International military training exercise Noble Partner 2020 has officially launched today at the IV Mechanized Brigade, at the Vaziani base. More than 2700 military personnel from five different countries will take part in it, four NATO members and the contender Georgia.
The military servicemen from NATO member states include the USA, the UK, Poland and France, and they will be taking part in the multinational martial training among the Georgian soldiers.
‘Noble Partner 2020’ is a cooperatively-led multinational training exercise in its fifth iteration, which is ultimately designed to enhance Georgian, U.S. and partner militaries' promptness and interoperability, as well as to provide and maintain a secure and protected environment over the Black Sea region. The principal memo for the Noble Partner remains - “Strength through Partnership”.
Georgian Prime Minister, Giorgi Gakharia commented on the initiation of the military exercise and affirmed Georgia’s unwavering support for Euro-Atlantic integration.
“Together with our partners, with such exercises and through increasing compatibility, we should achieve Euro-Atlantic integration,” said the PM at the opening ceremony of ‘Noble Partner 2020’. “Everyone should understand this is another clear example of our strategic partner’s support and our common aspirations. We have to thank our partners, first of all, the US, France, Great Britain, Poland, since everyone understands that the knowledge that our soldiers will obtain here should be used to establish global peace,” noted the PM.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the condition and the development of the Georgian forces, as well as the newly attained professionalism and collaborative instruments they will achieve with these multinational exercises.
“We must improve the condition of our army day by day, their equipment, their well-being and we must all understand that such exercises are a guarantee of peace for every citizen of Georgia as well as for our country and state. Georgia’s role in global peace should be strengthened even more to achieve Euro-Atlantic integration,” underlined Gakharia.
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili also remarked on and welcomed the attendees on the opening ceremony of ‘Noble Partner 2020’.
“Welcome and good luck to all the participants of Noble Partner 2020 where the US, France, Great Britain, and Poland take part in military exercises with the Georgian Defense Forces. This multinational exercise will strengthen Georgia’s defense capabilities, Euro-Atlantic integration, stability and peace,” tweeted the President.
