Tbilisi XXII Int'l Book Festival to be Held Online on September 25-27

Organized by the Georgian Association of Book Publishers and Distributors, the XXII Tbilisi International Book Festival will be held in a full online format on September 25-27.

The festival will be officially opened on September 25 at 12:00 and all the events within the program will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of Tbilisi International Book Fair on September 25, 26 and 27 from 12:00 to 19:00 on the Facebook page of Tbilisi International Book Fair.

More than 20 publishing houses will take part in the Tbilisi Book Festival. Each of them will offer a special festival discount to readers. An online book exhibition-sale will be carried out on the website of the Georgian Association of Book Publishers and Distributors, www.gpba.ge.

The decision to change the format of the festival was made by the festival organizers after assessing all possible risks and taking into account the recommendations received from the partners. Due to the aggravating epidemiological situation and restrictions on cultural events, holding the festival in and around the ExpoGeorgia Pavilion has become a high risk for both festival participants and visitors.

For the record, initially, the XXII Tbilisi International Book Festival was to be held on September 22-27 at ExpoGeorgia.

Tbilisi International Book Festival is supported by Tbilisi City Hall, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia and the Writers' House. TBC is a friend of the festival.
