PM, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR EAM Discuss Issues Related to Upcoming Elections

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting with Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Assessment Mission (EAM) Jillian Stirk thos week.

The meeting discussed issues pertaining to the upcoming October 31 parliamentary elections. The parties emphasized the importance of holding democratic, fair, and transparent elections, and agreed to continue close cooperation and coordination with OSCE/ODIHR on election-related issues.

Gakharia reaffirmed the Georgian Government's commitment to ensuring the maximal engagement of international observers in the electoral process and pointed out that, in light of the pandemic, their safety will be maximally protected.
