10th International Symposium on Traditional Polyphony

The International Research Center for Traditional Polyphony of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, the International Center for Georgian Folk Song, and the Folklore State Center of Georgia are inviting spectators to the Tenth Anniversary International Symposium on Traditional Polyphony, with 40 scholars from 19 countries, and concerts and films about polyphony. 

This year's symposium will be held under special circumstances, given the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, and in accordance with the agreement with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia. Held in full compliance with the regulations imposed by the government, the syposium will appear in a mixed format, with the foreign scholars (except for 6 participants from the US, Switzerland, Austria, and the UK) will participate remotely.

The symposium is being held under the patronage of Salome Zurabishvili, President of Georgia, and through the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia.
