Edison Research Final Exit Polls: GD 46%, UNM 28%

Commissioned by Formula TV, Edison Research has updated the exit polls, offering the final results. Georgian Dream remains the leader.

Following are the results of political parties that took part in the 2020 parliamentary elections of Georgia:

Georgian Dream - 46.0%

United National Movement - United Opposition - 28.0%

European Georgia - 5.0%

Lelo - 3.0%

Girchi - 3.0%

Alliance of Patriots - 2.0%

Strategy Builder - 2.0%

It should be noted that, as the TV company has reported, more than 60% of respondents refused to respond to the exit poll’s questions.

More than 3 hours since the closing of all the polling stations, the ballot counting is still in progress. There has been some misconception among politicians regarding who has won the elections – while the Georgian Dream officials, like PM Gakharia, Tbilisi Mayor Kaladze, and the party’s chairman Ivanishvili, have congratulated the population on the ruling party’s win, some opposition members, like Badri Japaridze from Lelo, beg to differ, saying that the Georgian Dream has obviously lost.
