Opposition Calls on Voters to Gather at Rustaveli Avenue, Protest Election Results

Opposition parties call on voters to gather at central Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi on November 1 at 16:00 to protest the election results. 

Nika Melia, a Majoritarian candidate of the National Movement Party in the Gldani district of Tbilisi made the relevant statement on behalf of the opposition.

As he noted, "The 2020 parliamentary election was a war and the opposition was not defeated in this war."

Based on the preliminary data of the Central Election Commission, "Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia" has 48.8% of the votes, "United National Movement-United Opposition Power in Unity" has 26.07%, and "European Georgia - Movement for Freedom" 3.79%. 

Out of a total of 3847 polling stations, 2556 have been counted.
