Protesters Demand Resignation of Tamar Zhvania, Repeat Elections
Opposition supporters are gathered outside the CEC building to demand the resignation of CEC Chairperson Tamar Zhvania and the re-run of the elections.
Activists are holding posters with images of Tamar Zhvania and Bidzina Ivanishvili and the inscription - 'Forgers to prison'.
Most of the opposition parties that ran in the October 31 elections refuse to recognize the election results, saying they have been manipulated. Many have refused to participate in the work of the new legislature.
Politicians and activists are taking turns at the microphone, voicing the same two demands: snap elections and the resignation of Tamar Zhvania.
"Ivanishvili once again stole our right to vote”, say the protesters.
The opposition plans to hold its next rally on November 8.
